About Skyless

Formed in 2024, Skyless is a band from Dublin whose sound lies in a heavy blend of distorted guitars alongside haunting and ethereal vocal melodies. Their sentimental lyrics explore themes of longing, connection and introspection, resulting in lush walls of sound characterstic of the shoegaze and dream pop genres. The band’s influences cover a range of acts through various genres including Sonic Youth, Cocteau Twins, The Cranberries and Slowdive, lending to their candid and experimental songwriting style. Drawing on nostalgic imagery from their childhoods in the early 00’s, and garnering inspiration from their alt-rock idols of the 90’s, Skyless’s music lives in a dream-like soundscape that feels both comfortingly familiar and exploratory.
